Buckle up...

I am so happy that the presidential candidates for this presidential election are conducting campaigns of change, i.e., ones that are drastically different and much improved from all previous campaigns and ones that promise the hope of everything being so much better under their potential administrations than ever before in history.

We have an "unofficial" proponent of Barack Obama's campaign, Jesse Jackson, asserting that his party's nominee is "speaking down to black people," and expressing the desire to remove part of Obama's physical anatomy.

We have an official proponent of John McCain's campaign, Phil Gramm, being thrown under the bus as one news network put it for stating that America is suffering from a "mental recession" not an actual recession. Incidentally, I don't know that our current economic conditions actually fit the definition of a recession, but that doesn't really matter does it?

Sounds to me like the same ole types of stories we have heard a million times in every previous presidential election.

The only things that have changed have been the names -- and that NOT to protect the innocent.

This is American presidential politics -- it is American politics in general.

So, the rest of us buckle up and prepare for the ride, awaiting to see who makes history, McCain or Obama.
