Ronnie and Kim Jones of New Madrid, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Ann Denton, to Tyler Lee Jamison, son of Melissa Jamison of Kennett and Jacksie Jamison of Paragould, Ark.

The bride to be is a 2006 graduate of New Madrid County Central High and attends Arkansas State University, where she is working towards her bachelor of science in nursing. She is currently employed at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

She is the granddaughter of James and Gloria Taylor of Lilbourn, Mo., and JoAnn Denton of Sikeston, Mo., and the late Bill Denton.

The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Kennett High School and is currently employed at Smith Drug Company in Paragould.

He is the grandson of Bud and Judy Henderson of Kennett and Jack and Nadine Jamison of Paragould.

The wedding will take place at 6 p.m., Aug. 30, 2008, at Crowley's Ridge State Park in Paragould.
