Arrie Louise Pulliam, 77, of Hayti, Mo., died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at the Saint Francis Hospital at Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Oct. 12, 1930, at Cruger, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Vinnie Johnson.
In 1947, she was married to Lacy Pulliam, who survives. She worked at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center at Kennett, as well as for Pemiscot Memorial Hospital, MDEM, Kennett Compress, and the Caruthersville Nursing Home. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Hayti.
Other survivors include four sons, Leotis Pulliam and wife, Alfreida, of Tampa, Fla., Walter Sterling Pulliam of Saginaw, Mich., Patrick Glen Pulliam and wife, Sheila, of Memphis, Tenn., and Samuel Johnson of Jefferson City, Mo.; three daughters, Shirley Ann Gibbs and husband, Raymond, of McPherson, Kan., and Paulette Johnson and Barbara Diane Johnson of Hayti Heights, Mo.; her stepmother, Josephine Johnson; one brother, King Henry Jackson and wife, Rosie, of Greenwood, Miss; six sisters, Mary Ward of Chicago, Ill., Alberta Longstreet and husband, Toy, Dorothy Lucas, Ophelia Holmes, all of Greenwood, Miss., Geneva Davis and husband, John, of Jackson, Miss.; and Jackie Magee and husband, Dornail, of Tyler Town, Miss. She had 34 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leroy Lockridge officiating.
Burial followed at the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
The Brimhall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
