Amos Largent

Amos "John" Largent, 71, of Kennett, formerly of Senath, Mo., died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Hospital in Kennett.

Born Aug. 14, 1936, in Senath, son of Sam and Lessie Woods Largent, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW.

Survivors include three sisters, June Young and husband, Dan, of Kennett, Joyce Crowell and husband, Paul, of Eads, Tenn., and Sue Eakins and husband, Edwin "Buddy", of Hillsboro, Mo.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Alberta Largent.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, June 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Lavon Smart officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Dan Young, Paul, Joe and Mike Crowell, Gregg Baltierra and Charles Anderson.
