LaVon Boyd, 93, of Manila, Ark., died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Skilled Care N.C. in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born April 25, 1915,in Conway, Ark., daughter of the late Sylvester Harrison and Lillie Ann Sims Bradshaw, she was a homemaker and a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church in Manila.
In 1934, in St. Francis, Ark., she married Coy Boyd, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Johnny Boyd and wife, JoAnne, of Manila and Charles Boyd and wife, Sylvia, of Jackson, Tenn.; one daughter, Debbye Boyd, of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Bill Bradshaw, of Kennett; two sisters, Bobbie Overall, of Nesbit, Miss., and Mary Spain, of Horn Lake, Miss.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Coy Mack Boyd; one daughter, Shirley Nell Boyd; one sister, Pauline Crittendon and three brothers, Tom, Jack and Rayburn Bradshaw.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, June 24, in the Manila Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Fowler officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
