Ray DuBois, 80, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at John Cochran Veterans Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo.

Born Dec. 1, 1927, in Dalton, Ark., son of the late Ben and Ethel Rainey DuBois, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII, and was owner and operator of Ray & Lee's Country Kitchen in Malden. He was of the Baptist faith.

On Jan. 1, 1951, in Piglet, Ark., he married Lee Lumpiness, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Delilah Loafman and husband, Byron, of Malden and LaVonda Crank and husband, Joe, of Melbourne, Fla.; three brothers, Roy and Ben DuBois, both of Piedmont, Mo., and Darrell DuBois, of Chesterfield, Mo.; three sisters, Dorothy Atwell, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Edna Wyatt, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Jesse Helderman, of Montgomery City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Byron Loafman, Joseph and Michael Crank and Holly Wallace, and eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jaci, Johnna, Cameryn, Arieyanna, Jessalyn, Bianca and Savannah.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ava Lanelle DuBois and three brothers, Doug, Rex and Bill DuBois.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, June 20, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 21, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Wilson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
