Ruby Mae Chambers, 95, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Malden Nursing Center.
Born Oct. 16, 1912, in Clarkton, Mo., daughter of the late William Edgar and Birdie Wright Holtzhouser, she was a baby sitter and a member of the First Christian Church in Malden.
On Dec. 5, 1931, in New Madrid, Mo., she married Rollie M. Chambers, who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1979. She was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Wayne Chambers and one sister, Ruth Blades.
Survivors include one son, Bill Chambers and wife, Shirley, of Malden; one brother, Bill Holtzhouser, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, JoAnn Klos and Jackie Thompson, both of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Brenda Davidson, Michael Chambers and Traci Wilson, all of Malden and Nancy Steward, of Campbell, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 17, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with Dr. Jeff Krupinski officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
