Jody Dawn Chandler and Brian Kyle Emmons, both of Kennett, announce their engagement.

The bride to be is the daughter of Toby and Karen Chandler of the Kennett and the granddaughter of Shelby Cummings and the late James Cummings and Loretta Chandler and the late Jim Chandler.

She is a 2008 graduate of Delta C-7 High School and a student at TRCC. She is currently employed at Catfish Wharf.

The prospective groom is the son of Rodney and Lisa Emmons of Kennett and the grandson of H.D. and Anita Emmons and Jack and Deanna McComb, all of Holcomb, Mo.

He is a 2006 graduate of Holcomb High School and is currently employed at Trinity in Caruthersville, Mo.

The wedding will take place at 5 p.m., July 4, 2008, at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Kennett. A reception will follow.
