Bobby Sloan, 54, of Kennett, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Nov. 24, 1953, in Kennett, son of the late Henry and Dollie Riggs Sloan, he was with the Pemiscot Rescue Squad.
On Jan. 14, 1978, in Kennett, he married Patricia Lucas, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Bobbie Wyss and husband, Stony, of Paragould, Ark.; three step-daughters, Sandy Pitts and Stephanie McHugh, both of Kirksville, Mo, and Chasity Dunn and husband, Robert, of Steele, Mo.; one brother, Joe Sloan, of Kennett and eight grandchildren, Destiny Sloan, Chistian Trace and Draven Wyss, Ty and Tracy Dunn and Emily and Andrew McHugh.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Nikki Pitts.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Friday, June 13, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Gary Carter officiating.
Burial was in the Nimmons Cemetery at Nimmons, Ark.
Pallbearers were Michael and Jason House, Matthew Boone, Rodney Pitts II, Floyd and Rodney Pitts and Jim House.
Honorary pallbearers were Frankie and Rodney Pitts Sr., and Alan Wyss.
