Russell Gardner, 93, of Kennett, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 4, 1915, in Senath, Mo., he was the son of the late Roly and Lula Garrett Gardner.
On Nov. 5, 1989, he married Josephine Brown, who survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Russell Jr. "Tim" Gardner, of Ivanhoe, Calif., Jack Wayne Gardner, of Sanger, Calif., and Ronie Gardner, of California; one step-son, Ralph Williams, of Oklahoma; four daughters, Rose Lee Arnett and Melba Lou Gardner, both of Paragould, Ark., and Jean Oma Smith and Mary Ellen Lelal, both of Mead, Wash.; one step-daughter, Angie Smith, of Paragould; one sister, Bessie Nou, of Rockford, Ill., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five sons and two daughters.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, June 13, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
