Marvin Hufford

Marvin Earl Hufford, 68, of Tallapoosa, Mo., died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born July 6, 1939, in Fairfield, Ill., son of the late Matthew and Disa Conner Hufford, he was a mechanic and he attended the Landmark Pentecostal Church in Malden, Mo.

On June 12, 1956, in Risco, Mo., he married Viola Lawrence, who survives.

Survivors also include three sons, Melvin and Darrell Hufford, both of Tallapoosa and David Hufford, of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Gloria Walford, of Portageville, Mo.; two half-brothers; two half-sisters; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Carl Hufford and two daughters, Donna Sue Shafer and Laura Beecher.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 10, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Leroy Young officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
