William Peacock

William Albert Peacock, 82, of New Madrid, Mo., formerly of Parma, Mo., died Monday, June 2, 2008, at his residence.

Born March 11, 1926, in Barfield, Ark., son of the late Albert and Ethel Cruse Peacock, he was retired from Stites Concrete.

On June 7, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., he married Evelyn Tippen, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Ronnie Peacock, of Dexter, Mo.; two daughters, Sharon K. Adams, of New Madrid and Jan Boone, of Dexter; two brothers, Johnny Peacock, of Dexter and Gene Peacock, of Harlma, Ga.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Melba Peacock and Nila Richmond; one brother, Lonnie Peacock and a grandson, Justin Peacock.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Wednesday, June 4, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 5, at the Warkins & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
