Rev. Chester William Richardson, Jr., 61, of Kennett, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Kennett.

Born Nov. 13, 1946, in Steele, Mo., son of the late Lois Alexander Skelton, he was pastor of the Revival Center Church in Sitka, Alaska, a firefighter, EMT and CPR instructor, CNA and groundsman for Pioneer Retirement Home in Sitka, security guard for family services in Caruthersville, Mo., and chaplain for the Sitka Jaycees.

On June 7, 1968, in Marshall, Mo., he married Charlotte Almeda Cates, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Jocelyn Richardson, of Kennett and an aunt, Agnes Marshall, of Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 3, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harry Turner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
