Brian Heath Shearer of Kennett and Rebekah Anne Cutter of Grand Rapids, Mich., were married at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2008, at Calvary Church in Grand Rapids with Pastor Brian Shearer, father of the groom, of Kennett officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ken and Deb Cutter of Grand Rapids and the granddaughter of Byron and Pat Bishop, Evelyn and Gilbert Cutter and Tom and Kathy Bunce, all of Grand Rapids.

The groom is the son of Brian and Tamra Shearer of Kennett and the grandson of Ernest and Carolyn Holmes and Ron and Joyce Zolman, all of Kennett.

He is employed as treatment technician at Stapleton Center in Hayti and youth director at Calvary Fellowship Church in Kennett.

Maid of honor was Allie Hellman of Wichita, Kan , and bridesmaids were Elizabeth Cutter and Sarah Cutter, sisters of the bride and Joanne VanHolstyn, friend.

Best man was Chad Shearer, grooms brother, of Kennett and groomsman was John Kirk, friend.

The couple honeymooned at Macinaw Island, Mich.

A reception will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the grooms grandparents home, 421 W. 8th Street in Kennett. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

The couple reside in Kennett.
