Carl Gene Stanfield, 63, of Gideon, Mo., died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Oct. 26, 1944, in Morehouse, Mo., son of the late John Henry and Ruby Ethel Stanfield, he was a member of the Stanfield General Baptist Church in Gideon.
On April 10, 1965, in Gideon, he married Andrea Faye Walker, who survives.
Survivors also include three daughters, Pam Stanfield, of Gideon, Annette Swinger, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Marenda Bennett and husband, Tracy, of Bloomfield, Mo.; two brothers, Melvin Stanfield, of Gideon and Jessie Stanfield, of Oxley, Mo.; three sisters, Belle Ryker, of Oklahoma, Paulette Berry, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Edith Crafton, of Louisville, Ky., and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Carl Gene Stanfield II and one sister, Mary Bonds.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 31, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andy Evans officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
