Marion Aldrich "Dode" Stoelting, 82, of Clarkton, Mo., died Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Mo.
Born April 9, 1926, in Cory, Ind., son of the late Ernest and Nellie Oldham Stoelting, he worked on a riverboat and was of the Baptist faith.
On Jan. 21, 1950, in St. Louis, Mo., he married Cecilia Howard, who survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Keith Stoelting and wife, Melanie, of Puxico, Mo., Danny Stoelting and wife, DeAnn, of Osage Beach, Mo., and David Stoelting and wife, Brenda, of Holcomb, Mo.; two brothers, Ben Stoelting, of Sullivan, Ind., and Wayne Stoelting, of Cory; 10 grandchildren, Scott Stoelting, of Clarkton, Christy Marsh, of Jefferson City, Mo., Kelly Garr, of Prairie Village, Kan., Shane Stoelting, of McGuire, Mo., Brandi Plunkett, of Nashville, Tenn., Dana Norman, of Camdenton, Mo., Tyler Stoelting, of Piggott, Ark., Nathan and Natalie Jackson, of Springfield, Mo., and Hannah Stoelting, of Holcomb, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Stoelting and two sisters, Juanita Forr and Louise Crafton.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Tuesday, May 20, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phil Warren officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Clarkton.
