In other District 1 games, it was Notre Dame 18, New Madrid County Central 1; Perryville 9, Sikeston 1; and Dexter 4, Fredericktown 3.
"We swung the bats better today," Kennett coach Aaron New said. "Corey (Henfling) did a good job of keeping us close and gave us a chance to win. Trey (Bazzell) and Shane (Branum) did a good job of coming in and holding them."

Branum also contributed at the dish, as he and freshman Cameron Wallace each had a pair of doubles to spark the Tribe (13-10) on offense.
"Both those two guys got our offense going," said New. "Both came up with big hits when we needed them."
Kennett capitalized on a pair of errors to score four times in the bottom of the second inning and take a 5-0 lead, then made it 6-0 in the bottom of the third when Andrew Hooper doubled home Nathan Henfling with one out.
Overall, seven of the Indians' nine hits went for extra bases.
The third-seeded Tribe will face No. 2 Dexter today at 6:30 p.m. in semifinal action. Dexter won the first two matchups this season by scores of 11-2 and 8-2, respectively.
"We'll just have to come out and play well again (Tuesday)," New said. "Doesn't matter who we play, hopefully we'll get some hits when we need them and get a well-pitched game. We'll just see how the chips fall."

Delta C7 4, Gideon 0
The fourth-seeded Chargers turned four hits into four runs as hurler James Blanton gave up six hits to shut out Gideon.
Gideon outhit Delta 6-4 but was hindered by four errors.
Sloan Richardson, Jeff Fields, Devan Ford and Tyler Green had hits for the Chargers.
North Pemiscot 24, Risco 1
The Mustangs pulled something of an upset, outhitting third-seeded Risco 16-3 and rolling to a huge win.
Winning pitcher Brandon Quillin had four hits to pace North Pemiscot. J. Rivera, Eric Fowler, Michael Gilboe and Matt Pierce also had big days at the dish for the Mustangs.
Brandon Bennett took the loss for Risco.
Holcomb 20, Southland 2
In the late game Monday, the second-seeded Hornets pounded out 16 hits to roll into a semifinal matchup against North Pemiscot.
Dylan McCormick tossed all five innings for the win, while Shane McElwrath's four hits paced the offense.
D.J. Figgins took the loss for Southland. Michael Lee, Ivan Vilchis and Justin Hall had hits for Southland.

Down to their last out in the bottom of the seventh inning, the top-seeded Bulldogs got a game-tying home run from No. 9 hitter Ian Mikels, then won it in the bottom of the eighth when winning pitcher Ben Smith scored on J.D. Wagoner's base hit with two out.
Dustin Hunter and Ernesto Garza had two hits each for Senath-Hornersville, while Mikels and Kaleb Canoy each had two-hit games for South Pemiscot, who takes on Portageville for the district title today at 4 p.m.
Portageville 6, Campbell 4
In the other semifinal, the third-seeded Bulldogs (10-8) scored four times in the top of the first inning and held off a late rally by the host Camels to advance to the district title game.
Kyle Matthews and Cale Weeks had two hits each for Campbell (14-6), while T.J. Smith, Caden Robbins and winning pitcher Cody Cook had two hits each for Portageville.

Childress is sectional bound
Saturday at the Class 3, Disrtrict 1 meet in Farmington, Demetrius Childress finished third in both the 110- and 300-meter hurdles to advance to sectional action this weekend.
Childress, who finished third in the 300-hurdles at last year's state meet, will be seeking a return trip to Jefferson City.
Golf
Richardson has shot at medal
At the Class 3 Boys Golf Championships in Springfield, freshman Ryan Richardson shot an 81 in first-day action and is tied for 29th, but is three strokes away from the top 10 and all-state honors.
Teammate Johnathan Rogers shot a 93 and is tied for 109th.
