Alpha Martin, 86, of Hernando, Miss., formerly of West Memphis, Ark., died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Wesley Meadows Retirement Community in Hernando.

She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Memphis.

She married Lloyd E. Martin, Sr., who preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Patsy L. Carson and husband, Russell, of Independence, Miss.; two sons, Jimmie D. Martin and wife, Jeanette, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Lloyd E. Martin Jr., and wife, Jenanne, of Jonesboro, Ark.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., today, Tuesday, May 13, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Jason, Jeff and Brent Martin, Michael and Mark Carson, Jerry Collins and Matt Carr.
