Police looking for missing woman

Friday, May 9, 2008

The Malden Police Department is looking for a young Malden woman who has been missing since Wednesday morning.

According to a statement by Chief of Police Jarrett Bullock, officers in Malden received a report that Candice "Brooke" Henessee had not been seen or heard from since approximately 11 a.m., Wednesday morning.

Bullock said Henessee was last seen leaving the Bootheel Education Center parking lot after taking final tests. Henessee was driving a tan Mazda B-series extended cab truck bearing Missouri registration.

Family and friends reported she had no plans to leave the area and both were expecting to see her Wednesday afternoon.

"This is reportedly extremely out of character for her," said Bullock.

Investigators are treating the case as an involuntary missing persons case and is asking anyone with information to contact the police department at (573) 276-2211 regarding the disappearance.

Investigators are working on making a photo of Bullock available to the press.
