Nova Vandiver, 90, of Kennett, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born Nov. 3, 1917, in Arbyrd, Mo., daughter of the late Ephriam and Gracie Green Holt, she was a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ.
On Sept. 29, 1934, in Sumach, Mo., she married Homer Vandiver, who preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1999. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, James, Lawrence, Vernon, Leonard and Felix Holt and one sister, Eva Smith.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph Vandiver and wife, Winnie, of Holcomb, Mo., and Dennis Vandiver and wife, Karen, of Kennett; two daughters, Joyce Dinkins and husband, Wayne and Darlene Robertson and husband, Dennis, all of Kennett; one brother, Calvin Holt and wife, Eddylene, of Kennett; one sister, Ellen Hesingla and husband, Dale, of Visalia, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Mick Vandiver, of Holcomb, Terry Vandiver and wife, Sheri, of Piggott, Ark., Paige Vandiver, of Birmingham, Ala., Corky Keating and Daren Robertson, both of Kennett, Deborah Dinkins, of Knoxville, Tenn, Stephen Dinkins and wife, Launa, of Dowell, Ill., Anna Daly and husband, Steve, of Nolensville, Tenn., Brian Robertson and wife, Lisa, of Franklin, Tenn., and Amy Rickman and husband, William, of St. Louis, Mo.; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, May 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Spencer Furby officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Stephen Dinkins, Daren Robertson, Brian Robertson, William Rickman, Mick Vandiver and Terry Vandiver.
