According to Kennett Middle School Librarian Kim Johnson, the event will begin Thursday, May 1 in the school's library media center and will continue through Friday, May 9.
"This year's fair will feature a variety of books for all students, kindergarten through high school," Johnson said. "There will also be several adult best-sellers available."
Some of the books will include mystery and adventure novels, fantasy trilogies, sports guides, animal books, cookbooks, and the latest best-selling reads.
Each day the book fair will be open from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, May 7 the fair will feature extended hours, remaining open until 5:30 p.m.
Johnson said special arrangements can also be made if individuals need the book fair to stay open later.
"The CREW", a group of KMS student volunteers that run the book fair, has worked very hard to promote the book fair, according to the school librarian.
"They have even stayed after school working to get everything ready," Johnson noted.
The school's goal is to have $3,000 in sales in order to pay for its end of the year "Reading Counts" celebration.
The Spring Scholastic Book Fair event at KMS is open to the public and anyone interested in attending the Book Fair is welcome.
