Tommy Coker

Tommy Coker, 84, of Kennett, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.

Born July 7, 1923, in Lake County, Tenn., son of the late Victor and Eula Bell Coker, he was a jeweler at Caruthersville, Mo.

On June 15, 1947, in Caruthersville, he married Pauline Crossett, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Karen Denise Dowdy and husband, John and two grandchildren, Christopher Brazer and Laura Wolczyk.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Grandstaff.

Private funeral services were held Wednesday, April 30, at the Eastwood Memorial Untied Methodist Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
