This year will be no different, as the Kennett Farmers' Market celebrates its 29th year of operation on Saturday, May 3.
The market is sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church in Kennett and is held on Saturday mornings at the corner of Main and Washington Streets, in the parking lot of the Kennett Clinic.
The market features growers from the entire area, and everyone who would like to bring their home-grown items is encouraged to do so.
There is no-charge for set up.
According to volunteers, early produce including onions, 'kraut, lettuce, radishes and canned beets will be available beginning Saturday, May 3.
Additional items will be available as the days grow warmer and produce becomes prime. The market will continue through the summer and into the fall, rain or shine, until the growing season ends with a hard freeze or heavy frost.
