Adkins told the Daily Dunklin Democrat that a full autopsy was performed on Farmer Monday Morning and that his findings did indicate murder.
However, Adkins said he was unable to release the full details relating to the cause of death, until he received permission from the Kennett Police Department (KPD) to do so.
The KPD, along with the Dunklin County Major Case Squad, the Bootheel Drug Task Force, and the Missouri Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control are in the midst of an investigation surrounding the death of Farmer, who was reported by family members as unresponsive at 7:30 a.m., Sunday morning.
According to a statement released by Kennett Police Assistant Chief Steve Williams, Kennett Police were called to the residence of 26 West Ninth Street in Kennett, where Farmers lifeless body laid in the front room of the home.
It is believed by officers that Farmer lived alone at the residence.
Farmer's body was found inside the home on Sunday by family members and investigators have yet to say how long it appears she had been there.
Officers are also remaining tight lipped in regards to any possible lead or suspects.
This morning, calls were made to the Kennett Police Department in an attempt to speak with Chief of Police Barry Tate or Assistant Chief Steve Williams in regards to reports surfacing throughout the community indicating that Farmer's boyfriend could be considered a possible suspect and that he may have already been brought in by investigators for questioning.
A representative from the department said that neither Tate nor Williams had the time available to discuss the case and all messages left for the public officials remained unreturned before press time.
Farmer is the daughter of Robert and Margaret Harrell and was a mother herself. Prior to her untimely death, Farmer served as Intake Coordinator for the Kennett Housing Authority office, where she was known to co-workers and visitors as "Jackie, the sweet lady at the window."

MAY GOD BE WITH THE MOTHER & FAMILY ALL.
I DID NOT KNOW HER ,BUT SOME OF MY FAMILY DID, AND LOVED HER.A VERY SWEET LADY ,.
Jacqueline and I shared the same birthday, grew up together, went to school and graduated together. We use to tease about how we almost were given to the wrong mother. It's as if a part of my soul has been snatched away. I pray that our Heavenly Father places strenght and peace in her mother's heart as well as the entire family that surpasses all human understanding. There will always be a void in my heart on my birthday we both recently turned 47 years old. Jacqueline may your sweet soul R.I.P.
iam sorry that she died God is with her and her family and God will attack those who attacked his child
This is indeed a very sad time for the family and friends of Jackie. She will truly be missed by those of us who knew her. She had a beautiful smile and a gentle spirit. Her family, friends and co-workers are in my prayers.
