William H. "Willie" Green, 81, of Kennett, Mo., died Friday, April 25, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark.
Born Sept., 3, 1926, at Bark Camp, Mo., he was the son of the late Frank and Paralee Marler Green.
On June 26, 1948 in Piggott, Ark., he married Royale Foster, who survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Pamela Grisham and husband, Kenneth, of Bragg City, Phyllis Palmer and husband Barry, of Kennett, Connie Green of Kennett, and Tracy Smallmon and husband, Jeff, of Paragould; two brothers, Jim Green of Sedgewickville, Mo., and Dan Green of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Mary Lee Powers of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Vila Faye Grimes of Conway, Ark., and Frankie Sue Robbins of Jackson, Mo.; grandchildren, Layne Benson of Jonesboro, Chris Benson of Kennett, Paige Vandiver of Birmingham, Ala., Shannon Pillow of Paragould and Jeff Smallmon, Jr., of Paragould.
Funeral services were held today, Sunday, April 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel at Kennett, with Dwight Harrison officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Kenny Grisham, Tommy Samples, Merle Frederick, Harold Lee Watson, James Hackworth and Curt Benson.
Honorary pallbearers were Harold Edwards, Dennis Vandiver, Wayne "Peck" Pelts, Brad Benson and Bob Akers.
