William Clay "Bill" Clark, Jr., 87, of Cardwell, Mo., died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, ark.

Born in Cardwell, son of the late William Clay and Vera Ellen Lockard Clark, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII. He was a graduate of Cardwell High School, a school teacher, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Cardwell Baptist Church.

He married Letta Jo Bogle, who preceded him in death in 2001. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Bobby and Billy Clark.

Survivors include two sons, John Paul Clark and wife, Rhonda, of Cardwell and Mike Clark, of Valley Park, Mo.; two daughters, Martha Blankenship and husband, Gary and Suzanne Bushong and husband, Jimmy, all of Paragould; one daughter-in-law, Anna Clark, of Monette, Ark.; one sister, Geraldine Shepherd, of Sterling, Va.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, April 24, at the Howard Funeral Home in Leachville, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 25, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. David Powell and Zach Roberts and Randy Blankenship officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cardwell Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mike, John Paul, David Lynn and Larry Clark, Jimmy and Logan Bushong, Gary Blankenship and Ernie Walker.
