Born May 24, 1950, in Naylor, Mo., son of the late Glendo "Jack" and Nezzie Fann Turner, he was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran. He was employed at the golf course and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Kennett.
On Dec. 24, 1997, in Kennett, he married Linda Jones, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Van "Wayne" Offord, of Tennessee; one daughter, Angela Green, of Kennett; one step-son, Gregory Norton, of Kennett; one step-daughter, Tina Hill, of Kennett; two brothers, Larry and Mike Turner, both of Kennett; three sisters, Vicki Hayes, of Rector, Ark., and Ladonna Dawson and Kathy Jackson, both of Kennett; three grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Harris and one brother, Thurman Turner.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Wednesday, April 23, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 24, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Bogle officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
