Herschel Smothers

Herschel Smothers, 87, of Owosso, Mich., formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 3, 1920.

On Sept. 10, 1938, in Holcomb, he married Velma Presson, who preceded him in death on June 19, 1989.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Duffiney; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 26, in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.

Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo. was in charge of arrangements.
