Daisy West, 85, of Kennett, died Friday, April 18, 2008, at National HealthCare in Kennett.

Born Sept. 27, 1922, in Reyno, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Grace Counts Bruden.

On Sept. 24, 1938, in Kennett, she married William Oscar West, who preceded her in death on March 31, 1988. She was also preceded in death by one brother, J.D. Bruden; one half-sister, Erma Willard and one grandson, Scott West.

Survivors include three sons, Billy Ray West and wife, Susan, of Splendora, Texas, Dewey Price West, of Kennett and Manual Larkin West and wife, Joann, of Imboden, Ark.; one daughter, Diana West Branum and husband, Sam, of Hornersville, Mo.; one sister, Pat Smith, of Kennett; one half-brother, Fred Willard, of Kennett; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Vodie Jackson officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Sam Branum, Rick Switzer, Gerry Smith, Cody West, Brice Heinley and Jason Droke.
