He died February 14, 2008, at 97, of a stroke.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther in 1984 and by a daughter, Betty Jane Harrison in 1973.
He practiced pharmacy for 60 years.
He was a member of the Kennett Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1956. Since 2000 he continued his church participation in Bryant, Ark.
He is survived by a daughter, Esther Ruth Jones, with whom he lived; two granddaughters, Allison Noble and Lillith Jones of Bryant and two grandsons, Langdon Robert Jones III and Garrett Bradley of Melbourne, Ark.
A service will be held at the First Methodist Church in Kennett at 3 p.m. April 22.
