Larry Virgil Smith, 69, of Cardwell, Mo., died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark.

Born Nov. 28, 1938, in Cardwell, he was employed at General Motors and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Virgil Smith, Jr., and Kerry Wayne Smith, both of St. Louis, Mo.; one step-son, Roy Aston, of St. Louis; one daughter, Debra Jean Smith, of St. Louis; two step-daughters, Patsy Aston, of Licking, Mo., and Loretta Aston, of Piggott, Ark.; one brother, Harvey Lee Smith, of St. Louis; two sisters, Ola May Villasenor, of Fredericktown, Mo., and Carolyn Sue Robertson, of St. Louis, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 17, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 18, in the Cardwell Cemetery.
