Charles Tibbles

Charles Dean Tibbles, 69, of Kennett, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Aug. 29, 1938, in Piggott, Ark., son of the late Benjamin H. and Opal Forsee Tibbles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Kennett.

On April 17, 1960, he married Helen Butler, who preceded him in death on April 18, 1991. He later married Viola Moore on Sept. 15, 1991, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Charles Keith Tibbles, of Holland, Mo.; one step-son, Jerry Hayes, of Aurora, Mo.; three daughters, Deronda Seats, of Hornersville, Mo., and Sheila Holt and Kerri Tibbles, both of Kennett; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one step-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Wednesday, April 16, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 17, at the First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Don Sheerin officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.

Pallbearers were family of First United Pentecostal Church.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
