Dorothy Johnson, 85, of Leavenworth, Kan., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Cushing Hospital in Leavenworth.
Born June 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Lovelady and Regina Harris.
Survivors include three sisters, Irene Burnette and Mary Magdeline Lovelady Piggie, both of Covington, Tenn., and Berta Mae Burnette, of Blytheville, Ark., and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hosey Bell; her second husband, Roy Johnson; two sons, Andy Cummings and Eddie J. Bell; six brothers, Tommy Lee, Hosey, Nepoleon, Lucsious, Bo and Charlie "Buss" Lovelady and six sisters, Elizabeth "Lizz" Harris, Louise Gaston, Willie Mae Lovelady, Mammie Lee "Amy" Rutledge, Hess Lovelady and Francis Mae "Williams" Lovelady Tilson.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 11, at the Brimhall Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Charles Jackson officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
