Tommy Cook and Annette Cook of Kennett announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacy Cook, to Seth McBroom, son of Gary and Tammy McBroom of Qulin, Mo.

The bride to be is a 2003 graduate of Holcomb High School and a 2007 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science in psychology. She is currently employed with the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the University of Missouri, serving the Southeast Missouri area.

She is the granddaughter of Betty Cook and the late Jewel Cook of White Oak, Mo., and the late Hoyt and Verline Wright of Kennett.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Twin Rivers High School and a 2007 graduate of Missouri State University with a bachelor of science in business education. He is currently employed with the Holcomb School District.

He is the grandson of Max and Shirley McBroom of Fisk, Mo., and Bill and Marcella Stockton of Qulin.

The ceremony will take place at 4 p.m., July 19, 2008 at Osborn General Baptist Church in Qulin.

A reception will follow at the American Legion in Qulin.
