Gary Don Forrest, 54, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Kennett and Gideon, Mo., died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Heartland Hospice Service in Atlanta, Ga.
Born Sept. 10, 1953, in Kennett, son of Frances Forrest and the late William Homer Forrest, he was a 1971 graduate of Kennett High School, a salesman in the hardware business and a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Laura Booker Forrest, of Atlanta; two sons, Robin Forrest and Brian Forrest, both of Atlanta; two daughters, Carly Hahn, of Southhaven, Miss., and Amber Forrest, of Atlanta; his mother Frances Forrest, of Kennett; six brothers, William Forrest, Jr., of Bragg City, Mo., Eddie Forrest, of Greenbrier, Ark., Glenn Forrest, of Walls, Miss., Tim Forrest, of Pine Bluff, Ark., Barry Forrest, of Flower Mound, Texas and Jon Forrest, of Springfield, Mo.; three sisters, Barbara Pulley, of Conway, Ark., Charlotte Jordan, of Gideon, Mo., and Diana Wenger, of Middleton, Wis., and four grandchildren, Jesse Hunt, Sierra Hunt, Cody Whitlock and Kaylee Forrest.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Homer Forrest and an infant brother.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, March 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
