Lela Ovey Shelton Kegley, 95, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Born March 25, 1913, in Clarkton, Mo., daughter of the late William R. and Willard Ovey Bailey Shelton, she was employed at the Campbell School Cafeteria and was a member of the Campbell General Baptist Church.

On Oct. 1, 1932, in Clarkton, she married James Odell Kegley, who preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1999. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd, W.R., and Elton Shelton and three sisters, Stella Prince, Ada Shelton and Marcella Kegley.

Survivors include three sons, James Myron Kegley and wife, Shirley, of Sikeston, Mo., Darwyn Kegley and wife, Judith and Perry Kegley and wife, Carolyn, all of Fredericktown, Mo.; one daughter, Joann Christian and husband, Wallace, of Florissant, Mo.; four sisters, Cinderella Ballentine, of Sun Lake, Ariz., Alma Pollard, of St. Louis, Mo., Mozella Show and husband, John and Joyce Burke and husband, Burl, all of Flint, Mich.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and special friend Hartense Russom, of Campbell.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Thursday, March 27, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 28, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darren Baker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lynn Oak Cemetery at Clarkton.
