Maxine Vannasdall, 79, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born March 31, 1928, in Campbell, daughter of the late Kell and Myrtle Blanton Mikel, she was a member of the Tatum Chapel General Baptist Church in Holcomb, Mo.

On June 14, 1945, she married Jessie James Vannasdall, who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1992. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Melba Borders; four brothers, Henry, Jesse, Herbert and Oscar Mikel and one grandson, James Howard Vannasdall.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Pickard and husband, Vernon, of Gideon, Mo., and Gloria Vannasdall, of Campbell; one son, Jimmy Vannasdall and wife, Della, of Malden, Mo.; two sisters, Clara Hawkins and husband, Charles and Mary Killion and husband, Joe, all of Campbell; two brothers, Harold Mikel and wife, Dillie, of Kennett and Kelley Mikel, Jr., of Clarkton, Mo.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Thursday, March 20, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cleo Payne officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Clarkton.
