Betty Grady Harman Petty, of Arbyrd, Mo., was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Lexington, Tenn., to Addison Banks Harman and Cordelia Azbill Harman. She passed away March 12, 2008, at the Senath Nursing Home in Senath, Mo., at the age of 96 years and six months.
She was united in marriage to Erla Petty, on Nov. 25, 1927. Four children as born to this union: Auburn Petty, Dwayne Petty, Janice Goodman and Michael Petty. Four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elra; a son, Auburn; a brother, John Harman and a sister, Mae Helen Davis.
Betty was truly dedicated to her Christian faith and was a devoted attendee at the Arbyrd Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 16, at the Arbyrd Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.
Burial was in the Linwood Cemetery at Paragould, Ark.
Pallbearers were Mitchell Zolman, Derrick Higgins, Tim Cureton, Larry Petty and Mike Higgins.
Honorary pallbearers were Welton Higgins, Neal Smith and Kenneth Sikes.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd was in charge of arrangements.
