Clarence Pelts, 88, of Caruth, Mo., died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Kennett.

Born Oct. 17, 1919, in Caruth, son of the late Claude and Mary Ethel Kirby Pelts, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

On June 3, 1942, in Hornersville, Mo., he married Myrl Chailland, who survives.

He was preceded in death by one son, Allen Pelts.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 17, in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett with the Rev. Jim Pemberton officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
