Born September 14, 1911, in Lexington, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Addison Banks and Cordelia Azbill Herman, she was of the Church of Christ faith.

On Nov. 25, 1927, she married Erla Petty, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Auburn Petty, a brother, John Harman and a sister, Mae Helen Evans.

Survivors include three children, Dwayne Petty, Janice Goodman and Michael Petty; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., today, Sunday, March 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.

Burial followed in the Linwood Cemetery at Paragould, Ark.

Pallbearers were Mitchell Zolman, derrick Higgins, Tim Cureton, Larry Petty and Mike Higgins.

Honorary pallbearers were Welton Higgins, Neal Smith and Kenneth Sikes.
