Eunice Hill

Eunice Andrew "Andy" Hill, 82, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Mo.

Born Aug. 17, 1925, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Rouss Johnson and Ada Collins, she was a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church.

On Oct. 27, 1946, she married Tom Hill, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Carrie Mae Hill.

Survivors include her children, Sarah Jane Wells, of Hillsboro, Mo., Tom and Rouss Hill, of Caruthersville, and Richard Hill, of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Margaret Schaffer; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the East Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dwight Chapman and Dr. Paul Currie officiating.

Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Caruthersville.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
