Born Feb. 17, 1917, in Kennett, son of William Franklin Williams and Evaline Brashears, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was a farmer and a member of the Abundant Life Assembly Church in Kennett.
On Dec. 23, 1944, he married Rozelle Williams, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Ted Williams and wife, Diane, of Kennett; one daughter, Terry Guthrie and husband, Kenny, of Arbyrd, Mo.; one brother, Ray Williams and wife, Peggy, of Piggott, Ark.; two sisters, Marjorie Bunting, of Risco, Mo., and Neoma Robertson, of Rosedale, Miss.; three grandchildren, Lori Clay and husband, Jim, of Paragould, Ark., Keith Guthrie, of Arbyrd and Julie Crowder, of Kennett and one great-grandchild, Blake Guinn, of Paragould.
He was preceded in death by one son, Brent Williams; three brothers, J.F., Ralph and Allen Williams and one sister, Mary Francis Carter.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dale Rickman and Manney Alvarado officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Gary Miller, Terry Fuller, Glenn Kitchen, Mike Mungle, Charles Fuller and Hubert Snipes.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill Heinen, James Waynick and Van Fuller.
