Pamela Jean Metzger, 52, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Hayti.
Born Oct. 4, 1955, in Kennett, daughter of the late Johnnie Franklin and I.V. Marie McCluskey Palmer, she was a 1973 graduate of Senath High School and she attended William Woods Baptist College. She was a commercial vehicle officer with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and a member of the First Christian Church in Caruthersville, Mo.
On March 22, 2003, in Dunklin County, Mo., she married Marty Metzger, who survives.
Survivors also include one step-son, Marty Metzger, of Abbeville, La.; one brother, Larry Glen Palmer and wife, Priscilla, of Kennett and three sisters, Annette Bull and husband, John, Nina Kay Dixon and husband, Steven and Brenda Jones, all of St. Peters, Mo.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Jean Palmer.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Howard Mountcastle officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Denny Baird, Rickey Bell, Steve Dixon, Tom Leeker, Steve Rhodes and Randy Tillman.
Memorials may be made to the Pam Metzger Memorial Scholarship Fund at the First State Bank and Trust.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
