Ethel M. Chilton, 86, of DeSoto, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at the Hillcrest Care Center in DeSoto.
Born Jan. 5, 1922, in Qulin, Mo., daughter of the late Arthur J. and Frances A. Davis Jones, she was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
On May 13, 1941, in Broseley, Mo., she married Fred Everett Chilton, who preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1990. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Carl and Floyd Jones, and four sisters, Lillie Jones, Blanche Hale, Eva Dye and Mattie Brackin.
Survivors include one son, Charles Chilton and wife, Sheila, of DeSoto; two grandchildren, Connie Potts and Raymond Chilton, both of DeSoto; five great-grandchildren, Meagan, Brittany and Mitchel Chilton, Fallon Potts and Justin Madden and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo., with James Powell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mole Hill Cemetery at Broseley.
