Patsy Joyce Mears, 69, of Hornersville, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at her residence.

Born Oct. 19, 1939, in Gobles, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Van and Myrtle Parker Pendergrass.

In 1965, in Michigan, she married John A. Mears, Sr., who survives.

Survivors also include three sons, Scott Pendergrass, of Paragould, Ark., Terry Criffield, of Augusta, Ga., and John Mears, Jr., of Pullman, Mich.; three daughters, Cindy Mears and Michelle Binney, both of Fennville, Mich., and Melody Holtsclaw, of Hornersville; two brothers, Jerry Pendergrass, of Zeeland, Mich., and Kenny Pendergrass, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three sisters, Betty June, of Glenn, Mich., Sandy Statham, of Holland, Mich., and Diane Bigger, of Cedar Springs, Mich.; 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gean Raford, Chuck and Van Pendergrass and one sister, Shirley Gean Pendergrass.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Trinity Community Church in Cardwell, Mo., with the Rev. Mike Beaird officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
