Kenneth Wayne McCann, 45, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at his residence.

Born Nov. 13, 1962, in Hayti, he was raised by the late Omer C. "Mike" McCann, of Albany, Ga., and the late Betty Lou Abbott Pelkey, of Caruthersville, Mo.

Survivors include his children, Tarisha Dawn McCann, of Kennett and Javia Taylor, of Alton, Ill.; one sister, Cathy Lou Gibson, of Hayti; his step-father, Jerry H.W. Pelkey; a brother-in-law, Timmy Gibson and two grandchildren, Arianna McCann, of Kennett and Trai Sean Taylor, of Alton.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.

Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Timmy Gibson, Clinton Holder, Keith Reeves, Billy Bargett, John Alexander, Ben Thompson and Jason Melton.
