Thelma Copeland

Thelma Louise Copeland, 62, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born March 8, 1945, in Dexter, Mo., daughter of the late Orion and Nora Mae Carter Jackson, she was of the Pentecostal faith.

On Feb. 4, 1962, in McGee, Mo., she married J.L. Copeland, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Diane Risner and husband, Billy, of Malden; three sons, Terry Copeland and wife, Sheila, of Dexter, Jerry Copeland and wife, Denise, of Risco, Mo., and Mark Copeland and wife, Julie, of Malden; four sisters, Nora "Bobbie" Bennett, of Dexter, Helen Russell, of Morehouse, Mo., June Dickherber, of St. Charles, Mo., and Barbara Stump, of Lurton, Ark.; two brothers, Harold "Doc" Jackson, of Bernie, Mo., and Raymond Jackson, of Sikeston, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Marie Jackson and three brothers, Larry, Dallas Eugene and Marion Leroy Jackson.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., today, Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Chaney officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
