Viola Elizabeth Ross, 88, of Kennett, Mo., died Feb. 8, 2008, at NEA at Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Jan 10, 1920, at Caruth, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Cadle Thompson.

On July 10, 1935, she married the late Raymond Ross, who passed away on Oct. 12, 1963. Two sons, Gaylon Ray and Dennis Joe Ross, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Charles Harry Ross of Jonesboro, Terry Lee Ross of Kennett, and Ronald Maurice Ross of Flower Mound, Texas; two daughters, Sue Carolyn Hulett if Imboden, Ark., and Linda Ross Pritchett of Hamilton, Miss.; two sisters, Betty Ellery of Grand Blanc, Mich. and Pat Lapenes of Jefferson City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is today, Sunday, from 1:30 p.m., Feb. 10, 2008, until the time of the service at the McDaniel Funeral Home at Kennett.

The funeral service is today at 3:30 p.m. at the McDaniel Chapel at Kennett, with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers include Chip Ross, Chris Ross, Anthony Pritchett, Cory Ross, Ross Blair, and Shane Wells. Honorary pallbearers include Chad Ross, Cameron Holland, Cody Holland, Hunter Aaron, Stetson Wells, Blake Pritchett, Derik Collins, Zachery Collins, Tyler Collins, Seth Wells, and Graham Pritchett.
