Betty Archer, 82, of Kennett, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at National HealthCare in Kennett.

Born Feb. 24, 1925, in Kennett, daughter of the late Charles E. and Maude Keyes Traylor, she was a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ/Dorcas Class.

On Nov. 27, 1964, in Kennett, she married Raymond Archer, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Roy Traylor; three sisters, Mabel Bell, Naomi Halford and Gladys Traylor and one grandson, Chris Cook.

Survivors include two sons, Jonathan C. Cook, of Maxwell, Texas and Mason A. Cook, Jr., and wife, Karen, of Murray, Ky.; one daughter, Judy Williams and husband, Jerry, of Kennett; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Spencer Furby officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are David and Chad Cook, Jeremy Williams, Dennis Oliver and Mike and Greg Archer.
