Katherine Lucille Simmons, 47, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at her residence.
Born April 4, 1960, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Dillon Samples, Jr., and Linda Kirkpatrick Damron.
On April 10, 1982, she married Willie George Simmons, Sr., who preceded her in death on April 12, 2002.
Survivors include four sons, Allen Samples and wife, Rosalynd, Jesse Samples and wife, Heather, and Teddy Simmons and wife, Tonia, all of Kennett and Willie Simmons, Jr., and wife, Christina, of Senath, Mo.; two brothers, Tommy Samples and wife, Mary and Richard Samples and wife, Cathy, all of Kennett; one sister, Barbara Turner and husband, Scott, of Rector, Ark.; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willie Joe Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Billy Finley, Johnny Rudd, Terry Jackson, Robert Hershey, Justin Pender and Jeremy Wyrick.
Honorary pallbearers are Quinton Anthony, Scott Turner, Brock Simmons, Allen Samples, Jr., Jesse Samples, Jr., Jeff Wyrick and Ernie Waddell.
